Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems.
- Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis to ensure system reliability under rigorous conditions.
- Create high-precision 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics, sensors, and actuators.
- Conduct design reviews, FMEA, and DFM/DFA initiatives to optimize production costs.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical engineering standards.
- Oversee prototype assembly and lead testing phases to validate performance against specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in machine design or robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong background in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Proven expertise in material selection, precision machining, and injection molding processes.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and rapid iteration methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders.
