Responsibilities
- Architect and design complex mechanical assemblies for robotic systems using SolidWorks/CAD software.
- Perform rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives to optimize production costs and timelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct thorough design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting in the R&D lab environment.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to keep our mechanical solutions at the competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, specifically in robotics or high-precision automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection for industrial environments.
- Proven experience with FEA tools (Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation) is essential.
- Familiarity with motion control components, gearboxes, and precision actuators.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
