Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptual design and prototyping to mass production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks/NX) to develop complex mechanical assemblies and components.
- Perform rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and optimization of high-performance parts.
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and cable management.
- Define design specifications, tolerance analysis, and GD&T standards for precision manufacturing.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct comprehensive design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to oversee DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within robotics, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD design software (SolidWorks preferred) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of material science, heat transfer, and mechanical kinematics.
- Proven track record of taking complex electro-mechanical projects from concept to market.
- Demonstrated experience with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC machining).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
