We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the conceptualization and development of next-generation robotic systems. This role offers the opportunity to own the product development lifecycle from initial CAD modeling through to final assembly and validation.
Responsibilities
- Design and iterate complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks and PDM systems.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and system performance.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) reviews to optimize production costs and timelines.
- Manage technical documentation, including BOMs, technical drawings, and engineering change orders.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong background in material selection, precision machining, and injection molding processes.
- Proven ability to perform complex mechanical simulations and stress testing.
- Effective communication skills and experience leading cross-functional projects.
