Responsibilities
- Lead the full-lifecycle design of mechanical components for automated assembly lines.
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and technical blueprints using SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
- Perform rigorous Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and optimization.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee product testing protocols.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior design engineers and drafters.
- Optimize mechanical designs for cost-reduction, manufacturability, and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in robotics or high-speed automation machinery.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX).
- Demonstrated expertise in FEA, motion control, and kinematic analysis.
- Strong understanding of GD&T standards and ASME Y14.5 requirements.
- Proven ability to manage technical projects from conceptualization to deployment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.
