Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design lifecycle for high-precision robotic components from conceptualization to mass production.
- Utilize advanced CAD tools to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Perform comprehensive FEA and structural analysis to ensure performance and reliability under heavy loads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics and software engineering, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and refine designs based on test data and performance metrics.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Ensure all designs comply with industry safety standards and quality certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven track record of taking complex products through the full product development lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material science, and mechanical tolerance analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with kinematics and dynamic modeling.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile project management environment.
