Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production deployment
- Develop and optimize complex CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance validation
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to build and test functional prototypes
- Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) initiatives with production partners
- Mentor junior engineers and establish design best practices
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into technical specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for complex systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in product lifecycle management (PLM)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with renewable energy systems or heavy machinery preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
