Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex robotic systems and sub-assemblies using CAD software.
- Perform detailed FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineering staff through the product development lifecycle.
- Select and qualify materials, components, and manufacturing processes for high-volume production.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and manufacturing yield.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and system engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven track record of designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical assemblies.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material properties, and kinematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
