Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of turbine components using SolidWorks and PTC Creo
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for precision aerospace components
- Collaborate with test engineers to validate designs through prototype development
- Generate detailed technical documentation and compliance reports (AS9100)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in aerospace/defense mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS suite
- Knowledge of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis per ASME Y14.5
- Strong project management skills with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
