Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production release using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize aerospace components for performance, durability, and manufacturability
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for structural validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement cost-effective production processes
- Generate detailed technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and industry safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of materials science, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack analysis methodologies
- AS9100 certification and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical projects
