Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize DFM/DFA processes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
- Research emerging materials and technologies for automotive applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Nastran)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and automotive industry requirements
- Proven track record in developing complex mechanical systems for automotive/aerospace
- Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter) and product lifecycle management
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot design challenges
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
