Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for high-precision automation systems
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to optimize product performance
- Collaborate with electrical/software teams on integrated system architecture
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry-specific regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with complex assembly modeling
- Proven experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and thermal analysis
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
- Track record of delivering mechanical systems for industrial automation
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic root-cause analysis experience
