Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release using CATIA and SolidWorks
- Perform advanced FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop innovative solutions for powertrain components and lightweighting initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance with ASME Y14.5 standards
- Collaborate with suppliers on prototype development and cost optimization
- Document design packages including GD&T, BOMs, and DFMEA reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of automotive design experience
- Expert proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and SolidWorks with complex assembly modeling
- Advanced knowledge of FEA (ANSYS) and thermal analysis methodologies
- Proven track record in powertrain or EV component development
- Strong GD&T application and tolerance stack-up analysis capabilities
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Experience with Agile development and PLM systems (Teamcenter)
