Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects using CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Conduct FEA/CFD analysis and simulation for performance optimization
- Develop detailed manufacturing specifications and tolerance analysis
- Collaborate with prototype lab for testing and validation cycles
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive industry standards
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with automotive systems (powertrain, chassis, or EV components)
- Proven project leadership with budget and timeline management
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
