Job Description
Are you ready to redefine the future of automated manufacturing? Apex Robotics is seeking a visionary Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of our next-generation robotic platforms. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex conceptual design and robust field implementation, working in a fast-paced environment where innovation is the standard.
You will join a high-caliber multidisciplinary team dedicated to solving challenging mechatronic problems. We offer a culture of continuous learning, state-of-the-art facilities, and the opportunity to see your designs transform global production lines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle mechanical design of robotic components and integrated systems.
- Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and thermal performance.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to optimize system-level mechatronic integration.
- Design complex mechanical assemblies for high-precision manufacturing, including additive and subtractive processes.
- Conduct rigorous design reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and DFM/DFA guidelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in mechanical drafting and documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee prototyping and testing phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in high-precision mechanical design, preferably in robotics or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX).
- Proven track record in successful product launch and design-for-manufacturing (DFM).
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material selection, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Experience with motion control systems, actuators, and sensor integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven design decisions.
