Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring precision and manufacturability.
- Perform rigorous stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate component integrity under various operating conditions.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, including 2D drawings, BOMs, and design specifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve design conflicts and optimize production workflows.
- Oversee the prototyping process, conducting physical testing and iterative improvements based on data analysis.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (ASME, ISO) and safety regulations.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA) and FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion.
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical data to stakeholders.
