Responsibilities
- System Design: Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the fabrication of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design integrity and performance.
- Technical Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and manufacturing instructions.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet strict industry standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements, and safety regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within a manufacturing or R&D setting.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) and FEA tools.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, injection molding, and metal fabrication.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of solving complex engineering problems.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
