Responsibilities
- Lead the complete design lifecycle of complex robotic sub-assemblies from conceptualization to mass production.
- Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity and performance under extreme operational loads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Oversee prototype testing and iterate designs based on performance metrics and failure analysis.
- Manage vendor relationships for high-precision custom component manufacturing.
- Ensure all designs comply with global safety standards and industrial automation regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in robotics, aerospace, or automotive mechanical design.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
- Strong background in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
- Proven experience with kinematics, motion control systems, and precision mechanism design.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly preferred.
