Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process from concept to production, utilizing advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling, to validate product performance.
- Develop and produce high-fidelity prototypes, technical drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are producible and compliant with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex design issues.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables within the constraints of budget and schedule.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and engineering best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial equipment sector.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS/ABAQUS.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and material properties.
- Proven track record of successfully taking products from concept to mass production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
