Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to manufacturing handoff
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation using SolidWorks and NX
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal performance optimization
- Interface with suppliers to source specialized components and materials
- Prototype testing and validation in our advanced materials lab
- Mentor junior engineers and implement design best practices
- Present technical solutions to executive stakeholders and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and NX with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Certification in FEA/CFD tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, composites, injection molding)
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Proven track record of launching complex mechanical systems
