Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo)
- Develop and optimize product designs through FEA/CFD analysis and prototype testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to ensure integrated solutions
- Create detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and manufacturing drawings
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for design efficiency and cost reduction
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to maintain quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical product development
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo) and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
- Experience with DFMEA and product lifecycle management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex challenges
