Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle design of mechanical components for autonomous robotic platforms.
- Conduct rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure structural integrity and performance under load.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and transition designs into high-volume manufacturing.
- Perform detailed tolerance analysis and prepare comprehensive technical documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate design reviews to maintain engineering excellence.
- Optimize system designs for cost, weight, and ease of assembly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics or automated machinery.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, additive manufacturing).
- Demonstrated experience in FEA/CFD simulation tools.
- Ability to interpret and apply industry safety standards for industrial automation.
- Excellent communication and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
