We seek a visionary Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of innovative thermal management systems in our Austin R&D center. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform conceptual designs into manufacturable products while maintaining industry-leading efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle design of complex thermal management systems from concept to production
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Develop detailed CAD models and engineering documentation using SolidWorks and Creo
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes in state-of-the-art labs
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize for cost-effective production
- Stay current with industry innovations and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in thermal system design and heat transfer optimization
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining)
- Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders
