Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from conceptualization to prototyping and validation
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and PTC Creo
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance optimization
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM principles are implemented
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into engineering specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or high-tech industries
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and PTC Creo with advanced surfacing capabilities
- Strong background in FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and thermal analysis
- Proven track record of developing complex mechanical assemblies from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
