Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design from concept to production for aerospace components
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations and validate designs through rigorous prototyping
- Develop detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings per ASME standards
- Collaborate with materials scientists to optimize material selection and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
- Ensure compliance with FAA/DOT regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering + 8+ years relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, composites, sheet metal)
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack analysis methodologies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and system thinking abilities
