Responsibilities
- Architect and detail high-precision mechanical assemblies for industrial robotic platforms.
- Conduct advanced FEA and thermal analysis to ensure structural integrity and operational reliability.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA standards are met.
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate complex motion control systems.
- Manage the selection of materials, actuators, and bearings for high-cycle industrial environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in CAD documentation and version control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and reduce production costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, specifically in robotics, automotive, or heavy machinery.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or PTC Creo.
- Hands-on experience with simulation software (ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar).
- Deep knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Strong understanding of rapid prototyping techniques and CNC manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to manage technical project timelines and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
