Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of complex robotic systems and sub-assemblies.
- Conduct detailed FEA and thermal analysis to optimize component performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics and software into mechanical frameworks.
- Oversee rapid prototyping processes and iterate designs based on performance testing.
- Manage the creation of manufacturing documentation, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Liaise with vendors to ensure component quality and manufacturing scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in robotics or precision mechanical design.
- Expertise in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor with advanced surfacing skills.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept to mass production.
- Deep understanding of GD&T, material selection, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in simulation software (ANSYS or similar).
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
