Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic subsystems from concept to production.
- Perform advanced FEA and thermal analysis to optimize component reliability and weight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage rapid prototyping cycles and oversee the transition of designs to high-volume manufacturing partners.
- Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings while maintaining strict adherence to GD&T standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical product design, ideally in robotics or aerospace.
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
- Strong background in material selection, kinematics, and precision tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Demonstrated experience taking at least two full product cycles from prototype to market.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges with limited supervision.
