Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to validation using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Develop and optimize complex assemblies for aerospace applications with focus on weight reduction and performance
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement DFM principles and drive production efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation for compliance with ASME/ISO standards
- Research emerging materials and technologies applicable to next-gen propulsion systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design with aerospace or high-performance industry focus
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, composite layup, additive manufacturing)
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from prototype to production
- Experience with GD&T tolerance analysis and mechanical testing methodologies
- Ability to obtain ITAR clearance (US citizenship or permanent residency required)
