Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Develop CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks/AutoCAD
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Interface with suppliers to optimize component manufacturing processes
- Validate designs through rigorous testing protocols and root cause analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in automotive/aerospace
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Strong GD&T knowledge and DFMEA application
- Experience with composite materials and lightweighting strategies
- Proven track record in product lifecycle management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
