Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept to mass production using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop innovative solutions for thermal management, vibration control, and structural optimization
- Conduct FMEA analysis and design validation through rigorous prototyping and testing
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Drive DFM initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs by 15-20%
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices in mechanical design
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing technologies for competitive advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent 3D CAD platforms
- Strong background in finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulation
- Proven track record in product development for consumer electronics or robotics
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and GD&T standards
- Experience with rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, CNC machining)
- PMP or Six Sigma certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex mechanical projects from inception to launch
