Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to prototyping and production
- Develop CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and CATIA for aerospace components
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for precision machining and composite fabrication
- Interface with suppliers to source high-performance materials and validate component performance
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of aerospace/defense experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assembly modeling
- Strong analytical skills with ANSYS/Abaqus simulation experience
- Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5 standards, and MIL-SPEC requirements
- Proven track record of delivering hardware through full qualification testing
- Experience with composite material design and manufacturing processes
