Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and CATIA for aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and performance
- Develop detailed technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for compliance with AS9100 standards
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate innovative thermal management systems
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure component quality control
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-precision mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS simulation tools
- AS9100 certification and FAA regulatory knowledge
- Proven track record of leading complex product development cycles
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Experience with additive manufacturing and composite materials
- Excellent problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines
