Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and detailed mechanical design of turbine components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform thermal, stress, and fluid dynamics analysis via FEA/CFD simulations
- Develop prototype testing protocols and validate designs through rigorous experimentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize for production scalability and cost-efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with clients to translate requirements into actionable engineering solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and/or similar engineering software
- Proven track record in developing complex rotating machinery or propulsion systems
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (machining, composites)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience leading cross-functional projects from concept to validation
