Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and production
- Design and optimize complex mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools with tolerance analysis expertise
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations for performance validation
- Drive innovation in material selection and manufacturing process improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and establish technical documentation standards
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and cost-effectiveness
- Validate designs through rigorous testing protocols and root cause analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with automotive or heavy machinery focus
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME standards, and DFMEA methodologies
- Proven track record in managing product development from concept to launch
- Experience with additive manufacturing and hybrid production techniques
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
