Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process for new product development and product iterations, from concept to production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor) to create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Perform rigorous stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and optimize component performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure design manufacturability (DFM).
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of prototypes, documenting results and making necessary design improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or AutoCAD) with a strong portfolio of past work.
- Strong working knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL) and GD&T standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and precision.
- Experience with project management methodologies and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
