Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and validation for aerospace propulsion components using CAD/CAE tools
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling to optimize structural integrity
- Develop detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test next-gen mechanical systems
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Proven track record in complex mechanical system integration
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) preferred
- Experience with rapid prototyping and validation testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
