Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of complex civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for large-scale developments
- Develop detailed construction documents and specifications adhering to AASHTO and municipal codes
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Utilize BIM software (Revit/Civil 3D) for 3D modeling and clash detection
- Conduct structural analysis and hydraulic modeling for infrastructure resilience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE license required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or municipal infrastructure
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing projects over $10M in value
- Familiarity with Chicago DOT standards and Illinois environmental regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex engineering challenges
- LEED AP certification or sustainable design experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and report writing
