Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to prototyping using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) on integrated system designs
- Develop test plans and conduct validation of mechanical components and assemblies
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance targets
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or automotive sectors
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software (ANSYS/ABAQUS)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of managing complex product development cycles
- Experience with electric vehicle systems or aerospace propulsion components
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
