Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of automotive components using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize product designs for performance, durability, and manufacturability
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Interface with suppliers to source materials and components while maintaining quality standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and document design processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Deep understanding of GD&T, DFMA, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in automotive or high-volume product development
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex engineering challenges
- Experience with electric vehicle systems or autonomous vehicle components preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
