Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop innovative solutions for thermal management, structural integrity, and motion control systems
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to optimize performance and validate designs
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, GD&T drawings, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical product design for consumer electronics or robotics
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, with advanced surfacing and assembly modeling skills
- Proven track record in DFM/DFA and tolerance analysis
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal)
- Certification in PMP or Six Sigma (highly desirable)
- Portfolio demonstrating complex mechanical system designs
