Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex automated systems and robotic platforms.
- Utilize industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor) to create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings.
- Perform feasibility studies, concept generation, and material selection to optimize product performance.
- Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and assembly testing.
- Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics or automation industry.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD/CAM tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
