Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-voltage power distribution systems for commercial-scale solar farms
- Develop embedded firmware for IoT-enabled smart grid monitoring devices
- Lead electrical safety audits and compliance documentation for industrial facilities
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and design validation processes
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on integrated system architecture for energy storage solutions
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and translate requirements into actionable engineering plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems design or renewable energy integration
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for Texas licensure
- Expertise in AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP power system analysis software
- Strong knowledge of IEEE 1584 arc flash standards and NFPA 70E safety protocols
- Proven track record leading projects from conception to commissioning
- Experience with Python for automation of electrical design workflows
