Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics for power distribution systems using AutoCAD and ETAP
- Lead implementation of PLC/HMI controls for industrial automation projects
- Conduct power quality analysis and mitigation for commercial facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on renewable energy integration projects
- Perform thermal and electromagnetic simulations using MATLAB/Simulink
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, and IEC standards
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews and technical guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in power systems or industrial automation
- PE license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems and protective relaying
- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols
- Demonstrated project management skills for $500K+ budgets
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with complex electrical systems
