Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical product development lifecycle from concept to production
- Perform advanced CAD modeling and FEA/CFD analysis using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Design and optimize complex mechanical systems for automotive and industrial applications
- Collaborate with prototyping teams to validate designs and conduct rigorous testing
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including BOMs, drawings, and specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Research and integrate emerging materials and manufacturing technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and GD&T standards
- Proven track record in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to technical challenges
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate complex concepts clearly
