Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept validation to production implementation
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for complex assemblies
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to ensure product reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electronic and software components
- Prototype testing and validation in advanced materials and manufacturing processes
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with ASME standards and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation software (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Strong background in materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining)
- Proven track record leading projects from conception to mass production
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP preferred
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with systematic root cause analysis capabilities
