Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process for new product development, from concept to production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and thermal simulations to validate product durability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components to ensure they meet strict quality and safety standards.
- Maintain and update existing designs to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Autodesk Inventor).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, machining).
- Familiarity with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
