Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for automotive components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
  • Develop and validate innovative solutions for powertrain, suspension, and lightweighting systems
  • Conduct FEA/CFD analysis to optimize performance, durability, and thermal management
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure DFM/DFA principles are implemented
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
  • Prepare technical documentation including CAD drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of automotive experience
  • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA with complex assembly modeling
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes
  • Proven experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and thermal management systems
