Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design from concept to production using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and GD&T specifications
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal analysis
- Oversee prototype fabrication and validation testing in ISO-certified labs
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and cost optimization
- Comply with AS9100 and FAA Part 25 certification requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM methodologies
- Valid PMP or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- Proven track record of delivering certified aerospace components
