Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from feasibility studies and site analysis to final design and construction administration.
- Oversee project budgets and schedules, ensuring milestones are met without compromising on quality or safety standards.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and geotechnical analysis to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, surveyors, and government stakeholders, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and drafters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in Ontario.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal infrastructure or heavy civil construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited university.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMP certification is a plus).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
